"They're the cutest couple. She was completely surprised by the whole thing," a source told Us Weekly. "The trip to Big Sur, the engagement, the ring, everything. So cute."

The mag also reports that "the insider tells Us that The New Normal star popped the question with an engagement ring that is 'just unbelievable.' 'They are an amazing couple,' the source adds, 'and so gorgeous together.'"

The New Normal actor popped the question during a trip to Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, Calif. The duo first appeared in public together on New Year's Day in Hawaii. They met at a Pilates class in Los Angeles, where Smith teaches.

“After my son was born, I realized how much time I spend on set acting and how much I love that, but when I’m not on set, I’m usually throwing dinner parties or cooking and entertaining in some way,” Larter shared with People Magazine.

“So I thought you know what, maybe I’ll try to put a book together, that sounds like kind of a fun thing to do in my off-time.”

“I wish I had [this] when I was 25,” the actress states “I threw some really horrible dinner parties when I was younger because I put so much stress and pressure on myself to make things prefect. What I’ve really learned is that no one really cares if things taste perfect. All they care about is having a great time and being together with friends and being invited into your home.”

The first-time-mom also shares her tips on getting kids to love food: “Start out with things that you love. At this point, I try to feed my son what we eat for dinner and expose him to really interesting, different foods. And if he doesn’t like it, it’s fine, it’s more about trying and thinking of food as a fun adventure.”

New American Idol Season 12 Winner: Candice Glover

It seems that third time was the charm for Glover, who tried out for Idol twice before season 12. Former judge Simon Cowell told Glover than she would never advance to being more than a "lounge singer."

So it makes sense that Glover was shocked that she was chosen to be the winner. "I'm still trying to process it," Glover stated to reporters after the show. "I don't even know my name! Oh my gosh! I don't know what's happening!"

"It feels amazing to finally have gotten to this point after working so hard for so long," Glover stated. "I always knew for some reason that it would happen if I kept going. I even said at some point, 'American Idol obviously doesn't want me why would I go back?' But I found myself on the website looking at the auditions again."

"I just couldn't turn away because I knew that if I kept trying that it would happen," Glover said.

Now, Glover's plans are to "sleep as much as I can," said the St. Helena's Island, S.C. native.

Meet Lisa Ling's Daughter, Jett

The television journalist and oncologist husband had a tumultuous road leading up to the birth of their daughter. Ling had miscarriages with previous pregnancies in 2010 and 2011.

When she finally got pregnant in 2012, Ling said: "We weren't trying. My travel schedule is erratic, and I only saw Paul once a month, so it was a shock. We had considered adoption, but we got very lucky. We believe this is the child we were supposed to have."

When the couple finally found out that they were expecting, they were fearful until they felt the baby kick. "It was incredible -- I had never gotten far enough along to feel like anything was in there," Ling stated. "Paul and I stayed in bed all weekend with our hands on my stomach. It was such a miracle."

Even Jett's delivery wasn't easy. The 39-year-old was forced to have a C-section when she heard that the baby's umbilical cord was caught around her neck. "When they held her up, it was probably the most triumphant moment in our marriage," Ling continued. "It was like, 'We made that screaming beast and we're responsible for her for the rest of our lives!' It was an incredible bonding moment."

Is Jaden Smith Getting Emancipated?

UK paper, The Sun, wrote that Will has come to accept that Jaden wants to move out. They even quoted Will saying: "He says, 'Dad, I want to be emancipated.' I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh. That's the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand."

Jaden, who stars with his dad in M. Night Shyamalan film, After Earth, responded to that article, saying: "See, here's the thing that you need to understand: I'm not going anywhere. The thing that people don't get is everything at this house is free! So I can get anything and everything at his house, so I'm going to be there 20, 30 more years."

"I mean… my baby boy, he's never leaving me, ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids," Will said.
