The Really Spontaneous Theatre Company Returns to the Stage to Perform Improvised One-Act Plays

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) April 27, 2011

The Really Spontaneous Theatre Company announced yesterday that it will perform its signature production of improvised one-act plays at The Acting Center in Hollywood, Calif., on April 30, 2011.
Said RSTC Artistic Director Tamra Meskimen, “The Really Spontaneous Theatre Company has performed for many years, on both coasts. We took a little time off to work on other projects, but we are thrilled to be performing together again.”

The show is not like most improv shows. The Really Spontaneous Theatre Company specializes in creating legitimate one-act plays, on the spot, based upon audience suggestions. Given only a title, or the first line of a play, the group creates an inimitable one-act play in a variety of styles.

Included in the cast is improviser extraordinaire Jim Meskimen, an original Whose Line Is It Anyway cast member well known for his recurring role on Parks & Recreation, and for voicing John Kerry, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the JibJab animated short “This Land.”

The show opens on Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. at The Acting Center, 5514 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood. One show is scheduled, but the demand for tickets has risen sharply. Plans for monthly performances are already being made.

“We’ve got new members in the troupe! It’s exciting to have some new and talented blood,” continued Meskimen. “These shows are going to be amazing!”
